Cement is heavy and this Tennessee family was figuring out just how heavy their porch steps were. They had some cracking and sinking cement problems and wanted it to get fixed asap before any more damage occurred. Their porch had sunk about 2-3 inches and because of this, it pushed back on the cement sidewalk which caused cracks.
Our inspector came over and discussed our concrete solutions with them. We use a special foam to lift sunken slabs and this was the perfect product for them. This product is our PolyLevel System and is done by boring small (penny-sized) holes in the slab, and using specially designed equipment to inject a structural-grade polymer into the void. After the void is filled, the expanding properties of the polyurethane foam allow for an accurate lift and leveling of the slab. Finally, the small holes are grouted and sealed, and the slab is completely restored.
We also used NexusPro Sealant to seal up their cracks (not pictured), which is a silicone-based sealant that prevents water ice and dirt from infiltrating the concrete joint and the ground below.
They were so happy to fix their porch and sidewalk and we were thrilled to be able to offer them permanent solutions!

This home's patio was an eyesore and the homeowners were sick of it! It was sinking in areas and causing big cracks that only got worse over the years. They decided they needed a professionals help before it got any worse.
Whether it was because their soil was not properly prepared to handle the weight of the cement or something more natural occurred, such as flooding or erosion, the slabs were breaking and sinking and needed to be fixed!
Our trained inspector Rob met the homeowners and inspected the slab. He knew exactly what needed to be done!
We first had to lift the sunken concrete slabs, so they were all level with each other. They injected PolyLevel foam by boring small (penny sized) holes in the slab. After the void is filled, the expanding properties of the polyurethane foam allows for an accurate lift and leveling of the slab.
Our crew then sealed all of the cracks with NexusPro Joint Sealant. NexusPro is a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks specially engineered to provide long-lasting flexibility and to stand up to harsh weather conditions. Unlike traditional polyurethane sealants, NexusPro resists UV rays, which means it won't crack, bubble or dry.
The homeowners now have a sealed and lifted patio that they no longer have to worry about being an eyesore or a tripping hazard!
We love helping homeowners just like these ones find the perfect products for their home.

In White House, TN, a homeowner faced uneven and sinking concrete slabs, posing risks for their property's safety and aesthetic appeal. Notice in the before photo how the sidewalk has cracked, creating a tripping hazard and drainage issues. To restore the concrete’s safe, level surface, we utilized our PolyLevel system to lift and stabilize the slabs, ensuring lasting durability. Sealing the joints with NexusPro prevents further water penetration, protecting the integrity of the foundation. Additionally, IceGuard ensures reliable sump pump operation, offering peace of mind during freezing conditions.
This Tennessee home had an unpleasant looking sidewalk that had shifted and became uneven. This created not only an eyesore and cracks but also a tripping hazard. The homeowners knew they needed to find a permanently fix before anything got worse and the value of the home decreased.
They called us and we knew exactly what to do!
We started by leveling the concrete with PolyLevel by injecting the foam below the concrete. PolyLevel's lightweight makes it useful where denser fill material might impose an undesirable load on weak soils. Despite its lightweight, PolyLevel can support substantial loads; it typically provides greater lifting power than mudjacking.
We then sealed the cracks where they were previously sealed, but the sealant used had warped and broken off in places allowing water to infiltrate. Unlike traditional polyurethane sealants, NexusPro resists UV rays, which means it won't crack, bubble or dry! NexusPro is a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks specially engineered to provide long-lasting flexibility and to stand up to harsh weather conditions.
The homeowners now have a healthy crawl space, a level, and sealed sidewalk.. and most of all a peace of mind!
