The back patio of this Franklin home had sank over and inch. The steps to enter the home had become a tripping hazard. The home owner needed a solution to make these entries safe again. PolyLevel is used to lift and level uneven exterior concrete.
The family of this 6 year old home in Franklin TN was worried about mold in the crawl space. They noticed the crawl space was damp and worried how that affected the air quality of the air in the home above. The family had allergies and air quality pays a large part on their comfort in the home.
Sealing and insulating the crawl space to include a 20 mil vapor barrier and a small-in-size, but mighty in capabilities, dehumidifier was installed in the crawl space. With temperature and moisture controlled mold and mildew were no longer a threat to the family.
Five years ago when this Tennesse family moved into their 2007 home, they noticed a small crack on their front porch concrete slab. Over the years they noticed it getting worse and worse. This homeowner is having a lot of issues with sinking, in and around her home. Her foundation and concrete leading to her home all are starting to sink, causing big cracks in her foundation and walkway. Here we did a poly lift of the concrete leading up to her steps. It had sunk leaving a big gap beyond just a crack. We were able to help her by lifting the concrete and filling the crack, this seals the area helping to keep the water out and causing more damage.
The PolyLevel System is a state of the Art approach to sinking concrete, This is, a high density, lightweight, structural grade polymers to lift, level and stabilize slabs. A minimum number of small holes (less than Penny-size) are drilled into the slab, and specialized equipment is used to inject the polymer foam into the voids under the unstable slab. After the voids are filled the formulated material expands, this provides precise lifting and stabilization of the slab without adding any significant weight.
It is easy to see in the before picture that this homes crawl space was suffering from installation falling and it was creating a real mess for the homeowners. Their crawl space was full of so much water and humidity that it actually weighed the installation so much that it fell. The only thing mold needs to grow is some moisture and organic material, which this crawl space was the perfect location for just this.
