This home had a lot of exterior cracks due to the home settling. Settling can occur from a handful of things, such as erosion, flooding, and simply because the soil was not properly prepared before the house was built on top of it. One thing is for sure, these cracks are unsightly and settling can cause major foundation problems down the road.
