Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

Cotton in Coopertown, TN contacted Frontier after noticing water and structural concerns in the crawl space of their 1950s ranch home. The inspection revealed mold, failing support systems, and fallen insulation throughout the space.

The Frontier crew soda blasted the wood to remove mold and cleared out damaged insulation. Failing supports were replaced with adjustable SmartJacks to properly support the floor system. The space was then encapsulated with drainage matting and CleanSpace liner to protect against future moisture.

Before, a simple piece of plywood only protected the crawl space. This not only allows wildlife to seek refuge inside the space but also allows water to flow in, wreaking havoc in your crawl space. Unconditioned air can also easily seep in where it mixes with the musty crawl space air, causing mold to form in the crawl space. This nasty air mixture flows up into the living areas of the home, triggering those who suffer from allergies or asthma. Because this crawl space door is below grade, we decided that we would install our Turtl door system. This system comes equipped with a lockable door as well as an access well.
