Most crawl space doors are made from metal or wood that rot, rust, and fall apart over time. Our crawl space entry doors are made from a non-organic plastic that will not rust, rot, or deteriorate, bringing the best protection to your home from humidity, moisture, and unwanted pests from entering your home!
This home in White Bluff Tennessee was experiencing extremely high levels of moisture within their crawl space. Noticing a smell within their home they reached out to Frontier Basement Systems for a permanent solution. Frontier sent out a design specialist to diagnose the problems. The moisture content of their crawl space was so high that it was beginning to weigh down their installation. This kind of environment can easily grow mold. Together with the homeowners it was decided that a full encapsulation with CleanSpace was the way to go! Beautiful results.
Along with a crawl space encapsulation, we highly recommend our EverLast Door to prevent any air and/or water from entering the crawl space area!
This customer in Kingston Springs, TN called Frontier due to moisture issues in their crawl space. To mitigate this issue we cleaned the debris from the crawl space, installed Drainage matting, and sealed off the vents and any other areas where outside air was coming in with SilverGlo panels and spray foam installation. Once that was complete we installed CleanSpace liner throughout the entire crawl space and added a SaniDry dehumidifier to pull any excess moisture from the air. The customer now has a clean and dry crawl space they can use.
At each annual service our service techs run through a thorough check through and cleaning of the pump system. The relative humidity is also checked and in this case was found to be high at 91% causing visible mold, wood rot and mildew. The solution to this humidity was to install a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which removes moisture from the air and drains it directly into the existing pump system.
