This Kentucky crawl space had an excessive moisture problem. The moisture caused their wood supporting beams to rot and grow mold spores. This is not only good for this home's foundation, but it is also very bad for the family's health. Did you know that 50% of the air we breathe upstairs comes from downstairs? Make sure that the air is clean and healthy.
The homeowners were getting very worried about their wood floors becoming bouncy/uneven and they often smelled a mildewy smell upstairs on warmer days. They were ready to get their problem fixed, so they googled crawl space experts and found us!
They scheduled a free inspection with one of our highly trained inspectors. Once our inspector arrived, he introduced himself and inspected their home and crawl space. He had taken a lot of photos, so he could show the homeowners exactly what the problem was and how we could fix it.

This Dyer, TN home had inches of standing water in their crawlspace. This was not only causing foundational issues through soil erosion, it was producing the perfect environment for mold growth. We removed the water and completed a full crawlspace encapsulation to protect the home and its inhabitants. The encapsulation included CleanSpace drainage matting and vapor barrier (seen here), a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and a TripleSafe sump pump to keep the crawlspace safe and dry.
The homeowner is happy with the quality of work that was completed.

We used Smart Jacks to lift the settling foundation in the crawlspace!
Many homes were built on cinder blocks as their foundation. Cinder blocks are porous and can hold a lot of water, this is also not the best environment for the wood that holds up the floors. The homeowners noticed a lot of squeaking, a lot of doors and windows not opening as they once had. It was decided that a series of smart jacks were the right solution for this home. Smart jacks are designed to provide support and stability to a foundation. The results? Homeowners that no longer need to worry.
