Jason in Pleasant View, TN, contacted Frontier after noticing a small crack outside his home and gaps between his floorboards. During the inspection, the design specialist found weakened supports in the crawl space, including gaps between the support columns and floor joists. The crawl space also had high humidity and moisture concerns that could contribute to further settlement. Since Jason prioritized stabilizing the floor rather than lifting it, the Frontier crew installed shims between the existing columns and floor joists to restore support. Mold was removed from the wood with soda blasting. To help protect the supports from future moisture-related settlement, a drainage system and sump pump were installed to collect and remove water entering the crawl space.
