The old joists and beams are removed and hauled away. You can see that they are significantly damaged.
These Sisters are 2x8x12 lengths of lumber which are installed next to an existing beam to add support and strength to those beams that didn't need to be removed completely.
These shorter length SmartJacks have been installed periodically along the front of the property and within the center of the floor plan to give ultimate stabilization of the floors where they need it most.
