Cracks and moving basement walls pushed this family to obtain a second opinion on what the best solution to fix these issues permanently.

Solution

Any bowed or cracked walls are dangerously unstable and as this basement is being used as an additional bedroom it was imperative that the proper solution was installed immediately. This was to install Wall Anchors, which can be installed into a small excavated hole in proximity to the foundation and stabilize the wall by transferring the weight to the bearing surface of the steel plate.

Pressure from the soil around the home is causing the foundation walls to shift and crack.

You can see here that the holes dug to install the wall anchors are incredibly small in comparison to the mighty job they take on!

Once installed they can be serviced regularly to ensure that they are tight and secure and continuing to straighten the walls.
