This customer in Murray, KY, called Frontier due to moisture issues in their crawl space. To mitigate the problem, we completed a crawl space encapsulation. This included installing our StarPipe crawl space drainage system, drainage matting, CleanSpace liner, TripleSafe sump pump, and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. We also used RimTight Insulation spray to add extra insulation between the floor joists and SilverGlo insulation panels. We completed this project with an IceGuard and LawnScape drainage system, as well as a new crawl space door.

StarPipe

StarPipe is a custom-engineered drainage system for crawl spaces. StarPipe's custom design has slots on each side, providing a drainage track on the bottom. StarPipe's unique star shape holds the fabric sleeve in place to prevent dirt from entering drainage slots.

Drainage Matting Installed

Drainage matting forms a permanent seal for leaking crawl space floors.

SilverGlo Panels Installed

We install high-performance SilverGlo™ rigid foam insulation against the crawl space walls. SilverGlo™ does what fiberglass can't: stop air leaks, never lose R-value, and never absorb or be damaged by moisture.

Air seal and insulate the rim joist

A tremendous amount of heat is lost through the rim joist that rests on your crawl space foundation. We prevent frigid air from leaking in by sealing gaps around the perimeter of your foundation. Then we reduce conductive heat loss by insulating the rim joist with foam insulation.

CleanSpace Vapor Barrier

One key ingredient in our encapsulation system is the CleanSpace® vapor barrier, a super-durable 20-mil plastic sheet designed to permanently prevent moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space.

The SaniDry Sedona

The Sedona easily fits in small crawl spaces, yet has a powerful blower to effectively dry large crawl spaces. Mold and mildew are common in crawl spaces, but the Sedona keeps the relative humidity below 55%, so mold won't stand a chance.

TripleSafe Sump Pump

A TripleSafe® Sump Pump System (shown here), combined with a SaniDry® dehumidifier, represents the ultimate in crawl space waterproofing and humidity control.

New Framing Built

New framing is built with pressure-treated wood to make sure that the new crawl space door fits securely.

Our EverLast™ Crawl Space Doors are created with ½" thick solid plastic, and they will never rust, rot, or need paint. Sturdy knobs allow for easy access and ensure a tight seal for many years to come.

IceGuard and LawnScape System Install

Water escapes from the IceGuard® fitting only when the discharge line becomes clogged. Otherwise, water flows past the slotted openings into the drain pipe. LawnScape™ is a pipe buried from the downspout to a special LawnScape™ outlet that lets the water out onto the surface while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning. LawnScape™ is best used for downspout extensions over 8' long.
