This customer in Bowling Green, KY, called Frontier to address moisture issues in their crawl space. To start the project, we removed the old vapor barrier. To address the moisture issues, we installed our StarPipe crawl space drainage system, drainage matting, a CleanSpace liner, sealed the crawl space vents, and installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier and TripleSafe sump pump. To complete the project, we added our IceGuard and LawnScape drainage system to carry water away from the structure and installed a new, secure EverLast crawl space door.

StarPipe Crawl Space Drainage System

StarPipe is a custom-engineered drainage system for crawl spaces. StarPipe's custom design has slots on each side, providing a drainage track on the bottom. StarPipe's unique star shape holds the fabric sleeve in place to prevent dirt from entering drainage slots.

Drainage Matting Installed

Drainage matting is installed over the crawl space floor. This dimpled plastic sheet material promotes good drainage over the entire crawl space floor.

Sealing Vents With SilverGlo Panels

We install high-performance SilverGlo™ rigid foam insulation in the crawl space vents. SilverGlo™ does what fiberglass can't: stop air leaks, never lose R-value, and never absorb or be damaged by moisture.

TripleSafe Sump Pump System

A TripleSafe® Sump Pump System (shown here), combined with a SaniDry® dehumidifier, represents the ultimate in crawl space waterproofing and humidity control.

The SaniDry Sedona

The Sedona easily fits in small crawl spaces, yet has a powerful blower to effectively dry large crawl spaces. Mold and mildew are common in crawl spaces, but the Sedona keeps the relative humidity below 55%, so mold won't stand a chance. As a high-efficiency dehumidifier, the Sedona removes more moisture (100 pints per day) for less electricity cost than conventional models.

The CleanSpace is installed over the walls, floor, and wrapped around the crawl space piers.
