This customer in Franklin, TN, called Frontier due to moisture issues and a sagging crawl space. We decided on a crawl space encapsulation to address the moisture and SmartJacks to stabilize the unlevel floors. Once the structure was stabilized with our SmartJack system, we started the encapsulation process. This included installing our StarPipe crawl space drainage system, Drainage matting, CleanSpace liner, a TripleSafe sump pump, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. We finished this project by installing an IceGuard and LawnScape system.

After the insulation and debris are removed, the mold is treated with Soda Blasting. Sodium Bicarbonate is a granular powder that is non-toxic, food grade, with no vapors or offgassing. It is blown with high-pressure air at the infected lumber. The mold is blown off without damaging the lumber, and falls to the floor. The mold is killed by the blasting action and the soda instantly changes the ph, so what falls is not active mold, but simply inert dust.
