This customer in Cadiz, KY, called Frontier due to moisture and mold issues in their crawl space. To start the project, we cleaned out all the moisture-soaked debris and treated the mold. To fix the moisture issues, we completed a complete crawl space encapsulation. This process began with the installation of our StarPipe crawl space drainage system, drainage matting, a CleanSpace liner, sealing the crawl space vents, and installing our TripleSafe sump pump and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. We finished this project by installing an IceGuard and LawnScape drainage system.

Crawl Space During Inspection

During the inspection, water is seen seeping out of the foundation walls. All of this debris will be cleaned out of the crawl space before the project begins.

StarPipe Crawl Space Drainage System

StarPipe™ is a custom-engineered drainage system for crawl spaces. StarPipe's™ custom design has slots on each side, providing a drainage track on the bottom. StarPipe's™ unique star shape holds the fabric sleeve in place to prevent dirt from entering drainage slots

Drainage matting is installed. This dimpled plastic sheet material promotes good drainage over the entire crawl space floor.

Sealing your crawl space vents stops the cycle of cold, humidity, and moisture entering from the outside air.

Air leaks Sealed

Any leaks are sealed with spray foam insulation.

IceGuard and LawnScape System

Water escapes from the IceGuard® fitting only when the discharge line becomes clogged. Otherwise, water flows past the slotted openings into the drain pipe. LawnScape™ is a pipe buried from the downspout to a special LawnScape™ outlet that lets the water out onto the surface while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning. LawnScape™ is best used for downspout extensions over 8' long.
