Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Repair in Clarksville, TN

This customer in Clarksville, TN, called Frontier due to moisture issues in his crawl space. To mitigate the problem, we completed a crawl space encapsulation. This included installing Drainage matting, CleanSpace liner, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and a TripleSafe sump pump. We also sealed the crawl space vents and any other air leaks with SilverGlo panels and spray foam insulation. We finished the project by installing a new EverLast crawl space door.

Crawl Space Before Project

This crawl space, during inspection, is showing obvious signs of moisture issues. You can see muddy floors and water lines on the crawl space supports.

Debris Removed

All the debris is removed from the crawl space before the project can begin.

CleanSpace

One key ingredient in our encapsulation system is the CleanSpace® vapor barrier, a super-durable 20-mil plastic sheet designed to permanently prevent moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space. We also used RimTight insulation spray for an added layer of insulation around the floor joists.

Drainage Matting

This dimpled plastic sheet material promotes good drainage over the entire crawl space floor.

Piers Wrapped with CleanSpace

Piers are wrapped in CleanSpace® poly to create a continuous air and moisture barrier. Any other air leaks are sealed with spray foam insulation.

Insulation

The SaniDry Sedona

The Sedona easily fits in small crawl spaces, yet has a powerful blower to effectively dry large crawl spaces. Mold and mildew are common in crawl spaces, but the Sedona keeps the relative humidity below 55%, so mold won't stand a chance. As a high-efficiency dehumidifier, the Sedona removes more moisture (100 pints per day) for less electricity cost than conventional models.
