This customer in Pleasant View, TN, called Frontier due to moisture issues in their crawl space. To mitigate the moisture issues, we completed a complete crawl space encapsulation. This began with cleaning out all the debris, adding our StarPipe crawl space drainage system, installing drainage matting, SilverGlo panels to seal the vents, CleanSpace liner, a TripleSafe sump pump, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and we finished this project by installing an IceGuard and a LawnScape drainage system, as well as an EverLast crawl space door and leaving them with a much cleaner and drier crawl space!

Crawl Space During Inspection

During inspection, water can be seen seeping out of the crawl space foundation walls. This crawl space needs to be sealed. Sealing your crawl space stops the cycle of cold, humidity, and moisture entering from the outside air.

Water Damage

Water is pooling up in this crawl space. If not addressed, this problem will only get worse and cause mold, wood rot, and sinking crawl space supports.

StarPipe™ Installation

StarPipe™ is a custom-engineered drainage system for crawlspaces. StarPipe's™ custom design has slots on each side, providing a drainage track on the bottom. StarPipe's™ unique star shape holds the fabric sleeve in place to prevent dirt from entering drainage slots.3

StarPipe™ is designed to be an easily installed conduit to accept water from the soil and surface of perimeter walls of your crawlspace and drain to a sump system, allowing the water to quickly evacuate from the crawlspace or from under the crawl space floor.

Drainage Matting Installed

Drainage matting is installed over the crawl space floors. This dimpled plastic sheet material promotes good drainage over the entire crawl space floor.

Piers are wrapped in CleanSpace® poly to create a continuous air and moisture barrier.

TripleSafe Sump Pump

A TripleSafe® Sump Pump System (shown here), combined with a SaniDry® dehumidifier, represents the ultimate in crawl space waterproofing and humidity control.

The SaniDry Sedona

The Sedona easily fits in small crawl spaces, yet has a powerful blower to effectively dry large crawl spaces. Mold and mildew are common in crawl spaces, but the Sedona keeps the relative humidity below 55%, so mold won't stand a chance. As a high-efficiency dehumidifier, the Sedona removes more moisture (100 pints per day) for less electricity cost than conventional models.

SilverGlo Panels

SilverGlo panels are added to parts of the crawl space walls for an added layer of protection. SilverGlo™ combines highly effective graphite-impregnated insulation with a built-in radiant heat barrier surface. This gives your crawl space walls an unbroken plane of R-11 insulation, while sealing your walls from outside moisture and humidity infiltration.

CleanSpace Fully Installed

One key ingredient in our encapsulation system is the CleanSpace® vapor barrier, a super-durable 20-mil plastic sheet designed to permanently prevent moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space.
