This customer in Paris, TN, called Frontier due to moisture issues in his crawl space. To mitigate the issue, we completed a full encapsulation of the crawl space. This included installing drainage matting, CleanSpace liner, upgrading the existing Triplesafe sump pump, and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. We also sealed the vents with SilverGlow panels. For the final steps, we installed an IceGuard system and a LawnScape outlet to guide any collected water safely away from the home.

Moisture Reading

Moisture readings are taken in the crawl space during the inspection. This level is very high and will lead to mold growth throughout the crawl space.

Moisture Issues

Moisture issues are visible during the inspection. You can see the water lines on the concrete block walls. Water is also pooling on areas of the old vapor barrier. This will be removed before we install the new waterproofing products for the encapsulation.

Drainage Matting Installed

This dimpled plastic sheet material promotes good drainage over the entire crawl space floor.

Sump Pump Upgrade

This customer had an old model sump pump, we upgraded to the TripleSafe sump pump. Our most reliable sump pump system, the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System, provides three levels of protection for your basement and your peace of mind. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe™ has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over.

Vents Sealed

SilverGlo panels are used to cover the crawl space vents. Sealing your crawl space vents stops the cycle of cold, humidity, and moisture entering from the outside air.

Piers Wrapped

Piers are wrapped in CleanSpace® poly to create a continuous air and moisture barrier. CleanSpace is also laid down on the floors and sealed with tape and put up on the crawl space walls.

Air Leaks Sealed

All air leaks are sealed with SilverGlo panels and spray foam insulation, even around the ductwork.

IceGuard® Discharge Line Protection

Many sump pump discharge lines are susceptible to freezing during the cold winter months. Our IceGuard® discharge line protection prevents this from happening, with no need for the homeowner to do anything! This specifically designed grated adapter is located outside where the discharge line exits the house. If the pipe underground freezes in the winter, water can still be pumped out without the worry of backups into your basement!

LawnScape System

LawnScape™ is a pipe buried from the downspout to a special LawnScape™ outlet that lets the water out onto the surface while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning. LawnScape™ is best used for downspout extensions over 8' long.
