This customer in Dickson, TN, called Frontier due to water drainage issues in his crawl space. To mitigate the issue, we completed a full crawl space encapsulation. This included installing drainage matting, CleanSpace liner, a Triplesafe sump pump, and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. We also sealed the vents with SilverGlow panels. For the final steps, we installed an IceGuard system and a LawnScape outlet to guide any collected water safely away from the home. We finished this project with a new, airtight EverLast crawl space door.

Drainage Matting

CleanSpace Installed

One key ingredient in our encapsulation system is the CleanSpace® vapor barrier, a super-durable 20-mil plastic sheet designed to permanently prevent moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space.

All air leaks are sealed off with spray foam insulation. This is to keep the outside air out of the crawl space.

SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier

The Sedona easily fits in small crawl spaces, yet has a powerful blower to effectively dry large crawl spaces. Mold and mildew are common in crawl spaces, but the Sedona keeps the relative humidity below 55%, so mold won't stand a chance. As a high-efficiency dehumidifier, the Sedona removes more moisture (100 pints per day) for less electricity cost than conventional models.

TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System

Our most reliable sump pump system, the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System, provides three levels of protection for your crawl space and your peace of mind. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe™ has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over.

New framing is built out and spray foam insulation added to the crawl space door area to prepare for the new crawl space door to be installed.

Many sump pump discharge lines are susceptible to freezing during the cold winter months. Our IceGuard® discharge line protection prevents this from happening, with no need for the homeowner to do anything! This specifically designed grated adapter is located outside where the discharge line exits the house. If the pipe underground freezes in the winter, water can still be pumped out without the worry of backups into your crawl space!
