Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Repair in Clarksville, TN

This customer in Clarksville, TN called Frontier due to moisture issues in their crawl space. To mitigate the moisture issues, we cleaned out all the debris, installed Drainage matting, CleanSpace liner, and sealed the crawl space vents and any other air leaks with SilverGlo panels and spray foam insulation. We finished this project with a new EverLast crawl space door.

Mold Growth

Moisture has allowed mold to start to grow between the floor joists. This will be treated during the project and to stop this from happening again, we will seal off the crawl space and control the moisture so that mold cannot grow.

Moisture Issues

Water lines are visible on the concrete block walls as well as muddy floors and a vapor barrier that is not working. This debris will need to be removed and new products installed to prevent this from happening again.

Moisture Levels

Moisture and humidity levels are measured in the crawl space. This level indicates a very high likelihood that mold will start to take root and grow, which, in other photos, has already begun to happen. We will treat this mold growth during this project.

Drainage Matting

Drainage matting is installed over the crawl space floors. This dimpled plastic sheet material promotes good drainage over the entire crawl space floor.

New Framing Installed for Crawl Space Door

New framing is built out to prepare for the new crawl space door. Our EverLast™ Crawl Space Doors are created with ½" thick solid plastic, and they will never rust, rot, or need paint. Sturdy knobs allow for easy access and ensure a tight seal for many years to come.

CleanSpace Fully Installed

One key ingredient in our encapsulation system is the CleanSpace® vapor barrier, a super-durable 20-mil plastic sheet designed to permanently prevent moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space.

Piers are wrapped in CleanSpace® poly to create a continuous air and moisture barrier.

Vents Sealed

Sealing your crawl space vents stops the cycle of cold, humidity, and moisture entering from the outside air.

Spray foam Insulation

Spray foam insulation is used to seal off any possible air leaks from plumbing or ductwork or anything that is coming through the walls.

Air leaks

All air leaks in this crawl space have now been sealed off. The encapsulation treatment separates and protects the crawl space interior from outdoor conditions, keeping the space clean and dry.
