Interior Cracking
The structural supports are sinking into the soil. The structural wood in the crawl space is rotting. Structural damage in a crawl space can manifest itself in the home in many ways, including uneven floors, jamming doors, and cracks in the drywall.

More Interior Cracks
Further cracking on the interior of the home, these cracks from failing crawl space supports will usually show around the door frames and windows. It will also cause them to stick and jam, making them hard to open and close correctly.

Crawl Space During Inspection
Moisture, mold, and falling, failing insulation are problems in this crawl space, which hasn't been properly sealed.

Moisture damage
As you can see in the photo, water is seeping out of the concrete block wall. The old vapor barrier is doing no good and will need to be removed before we start the project.

Failing Crawl Space Supports
Sometimes, the contractor who builds a home will improperly space out the support beams that hold up your floor and interior structure. When this happens, the floor may sink in the spans between each support, leading to damage to your home structure.

The SmartJack System
The SmartJack Crawl Space Stabilizer is an adjustable supplemental support system used for sagging crawl spaces. It not only provides supplemental support to your failing structure -- it can also often lift failing floor joists or beams, restoring them to their original position.

Drainage Matting Installed
This dimpled plastic sheet material promotes good drainage over the entire crawl space floor.

Piers Wrapped
Piers are wrapped in CleanSpace® poly to create a continuous air and moisture barrier.

CleanSpace Liner
CleanSpace is installed on the walls.

Vents Sealed and CleanSpace Installation Complete
