This customer in Nashville, TN, called Frontier due to water intrusion in their crawl space. To mitigate the immediate damage, we removed all the wet-damaged insulation and drained the water from the crawl space. To prevent this from happening again, we installed an EZ Flow drainage system, Drainage matting, CleanSpace vapor barrier, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, TripleSafe sump pump, and drainage lines, including an IceGuard and LawnScape system.

Humidity Levels

We are checking the moisture and humidity in the crawl space. This level of humidity is a perfect storm for mold to grow. If left unchecked, it could cause real damage to the wooden floor joists.

TripleSafe Sump Pump

Our most reliable sump pump system, the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System, provides three levels of protection for your basement and your peace of mind. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe™ has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over.

EZ Flow Installation

EZ Flow Crawl Space Drainage System is installed to prevent flooding in this dirt crawl space. EZ Flow features a filter fabric with holes on the top and front to accept water from the soil and surface of your crawl space. The pipe also collects water seepage from the crawl space walls and the footing/wall joint.

Drainage Matting

Drainage matting is installed. This dimpled plastic sheet material promotes good drainage over the entire crawl space floor.

Piers are wrapped in CleanSpace® poly to create a continuous air and moisture barrier.

CleanSpace Liner

One key ingredient in our encapsulation system is the CleanSpace® vapor barrier, a super-durable 20-mil plastic sheet designed to permanently prevent moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space.

The encapsulation treatment totally separates and protects the crawl space interior from outdoor conditions, keeping the space clean and dry.

IceGuard and LawnScape

Water escapes from the IceGuard® fitting only when the discharge line becomes clogged. Otherwise, water flows past the slotted openings into the drain pipe. LawnScape™ is a pipe buried from the downspout to a special LawnScape™ outlet that lets the water out onto the surface while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning. LawnScape™ is best used for downspout extensions over 8' long.
