This customer in Nashville, TN, called Frontier due to moisture issues in their crawl space and a sagging crawl space floor. After stabilizing the crawl space with our SmartJack system, we started on the moisture issues. We completed a complete crawl space encapsulation. This began with cleaning out all the debris, adding an EZ Flow drainage system, installing drainage matting, a CleanSpace liner, a TripleSafe sump pump, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. We finished this project by installing an IceGuard and LawnScape drainage system.

We use multiple tools to see where a floor is sagging and sloping. This gives us a clear idea of where the crawl space needs extra support.

Crawl Space Before Project

If you look carefully in this picture, you'll notice that the wood of the floor joist is beginning to sag due to failing crawl space supports. Moisture, mold and falling, failing insulation are also problems in this crawl space, which hasn't been properly sealed.

EZ Flow Installation

EZ Flow Crawl Space Drainage System is installed to prevent flooding in this dirt crawl space. EZ Flow features a filter fabric with holes on the top and front to accept water from the soil and surface of your crawl space. The pipe also collects water seepage from the crawl space walls and the footing/wall joint.

Drainage Matting Installed

Drainage matting is installed over the crawl space floor. This dimpled plastic sheet material promotes good drainage over the entire crawl space floor.

For normal functioning, the TripleSafe™ has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over.
