High Humidity Levels
Crawl space humidity problems can lead to wood rot, pest infestations, poor indoor air quality, and mold and mildew problems.
Condensation
Condensation is accumulating on the duct system. This is contributing to the moisture issues in the crawl space.
Mold Growth
When wood is in a humid environment it absorbs moisture from the air. When the moisture content in the wood is elevated for long, mold grows. Active mold in your crawl space produces airborne spores that are circulated through the house into the living areas. People with asthma and allergies will react to the mold. If someone does not have sensitivities to mold, they can develop them by prolonged exposure to mold spores.
Crawl Space During Inspection
Debris and an old vapor barrier in the crawl space will be removed before the project starts.
Debris Removed
All the debris is removed from the crawl space so the crawl space encapsulation can start.
Mold Treated
Sodium Bicarbonate is a granular powder that is non-toxic, food grade, with no vapors or offgassing. It is blown with air at high pressure at the infected lumber. The mold is blown off without damaging the lumber, and falls to the floor. The mold is killed by the blasting action and the soda instantly changes the ph, so what falls is not active mold, but simply inert dust.

Drainage matting forms a permanent seal for leaking crawl space floors.
CleanSpace Installed
One key ingredient in our encapsulation system is the CleanSpace® vapor barrier, a super-durable 20-mil plastic sheet designed to permanently prevent moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space.
The SaniDry Sedona
Mold and mildew are common in crawl spaces, but the Sedona keeps the relative humidity below 55%, so mold won't stand a chance. As a high-efficiency dehumidifier, the Sedona removes more moisture (100 pints per day) for less electricity cost than conventional models.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
Our most reliable sump pump system, the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System, provides three levels of protection for your crawl space and your peace of mind. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe™ has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over.
New Electrical Outlets
New outlets are installed to power the sump pump and dehumidifier.
