A customer in Alvaton, KY, called Frontier after noticing a damp and musty smell in their home. When you notice these problems, it could indicate a mold or mildew problem in your crawl space. During our inspection, we found exactly that. The crawl space was damp and moldy, and moisture issues were present. To fix the issues, we removed the mold with Soda Blasting and encapsulated the crawl space. To control humidity, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The mold is blown off without damaging the lumber, and falls to the floor. The mold is killed by the blasting action and the soda instantly changes the ph, so what falls is not active mold, but simply inert dust.
