Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Kevil, KY

This customer in Kevil, KY, called Frontier due to moisture and mold issues in their crawl space. After our first project, soda blasting to treat the mold, we came back to seal the crawl space and address the moisture issues to make sure mold did not have the chance to grow back. This included installing drainage matting and CleanSpace, as well as sealing the vents with SilverGlo panels. To control moisture, we added a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Now the crawl space is mold free, clean, and dry.

Crawl Space During Inspection

After Soda Blasting

After the mold has been treated, the Soda Blasting creates a dust all over the floor. This will all be cleaned out before the encapsulation begins.

Mold and mildew are common in crawl spaces, but the Sedona keeps the relative humidity below 55%, so mold won't stand a chance. As a high-efficiency dehumidifier, the Sedona removes more moisture (100 pints per day) for less electricity cost than conventional models.
