Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Benton, KY

This customer in Benton, KY, called Frontier due to moisture issues in their crawl space. To mitigate the issues, we completed a crawl space encapsulation. This process began with the installation of our StarPipe crawl space drainage system, followed by the addition of drainage matting, a CleanSpace liner, sealing the crawl space vents, and installing our TripleSafe sump pump and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. We finished this project by installing an IceGuard and LawnScape drainage system, as well as a new crawl space door.

Open Vents

Moisture Issues

Water lines can be seen on the concrete block wall. This means water is seeping into the crawl space. If not addressed, this can lead to mold, wood rot, and even structural damage.

StarPipe Crawl Space Drainage System

StarPipe™ is a custom-engineered drainage system for crawl spaces. StarPipe's™ custom design has slots on each side, providing a drainage track on the bottom. StarPipe's™ unique star shape holds the fabric sleeve in place to prevent dirt from entering drainage slots.

IceGuard and LawnScape System

Water escapes from the IceGuard® fitting only when the discharge line becomes clogged. Otherwise, water flows past the slotted openings into the drain pipe. LawnScape™ is a pipe buried from the downspout to a special LawnScape™ outlet that lets the water out onto the surface while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning. LawnScape™ is best used for downspout extensions over 8' long.
