Mold Growth
Humidity in the crawl space allowed mold to grow under the home, weakening the floor system and reducing air quality on the first floor of the home.
Removing Debris from the Crawl Space
The crew begins the job by removing debris from the crawl space, which often includes old vapor barrier material and insulation.
Drainage Trench
A trench is dug in the crawl space so the drainage system can be installed in the ground, allowing it to catch water if it flows through the space.
Drainage System
Homes built on a slant often have one side of the home with worse water intrusion through the foundation. The drainage system was installed to collect water entering from that side.
SmartJack Installation
SmartJacks were installed throughout the crawl space to lift and stabilize the floor.
TripleSafe Sump Pump Installation
The drainage system directs water towards the TripleSafe Sump Pump, which has one pump for low water intrusion, a second pump for heavy water intrusion, and a third battery backup pump for power outages.
Full Encapsulation
CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick liner with an antimicrobial additive. It covers the floor, walls, and piers to seal off the space from moisture intrusion.
SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier
Mold grows if any moisture is introduced to it, so dehumidification is an essential part of the encapsulation process. Frontier installs the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to keep relative humidity levels under 60%.
EverLast Door
The EverLast Door is custom-cut and installed to seal the crawl space entrance.
Proper Drainage
The TripleSafe Sump Pump directs water through a PVC pipe towards the LawnScape Outlet, placed downhill from the home to prevent water from reentering the space. An IceGuard is installed at the exit to ensure water can still escape if there is a block in the line.
