This customer in Chapel Hill, TN, called Frontier due to moisture issues in their crawl space. To mitigate the issues, we completed a crawl space encapsulation. This process began with the installation of our drainage matting, a CleanSpace liner, sealing of the crawl space vents, and the installation of our TripleSafe sump pump and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. We finished this project by installing an IceGuard and LawnScape drainage system, as well as a new crawl space door and access well.

Crawl Space During Inspection

Moisture, mold and falling, failing insulation are problems in this crawl space, which hasn't been properly sealed. The encapsulation treatment totally separates and protects the crawl space interior from outdoor conditions, keeping the space clean and dry.

For normal functioning, the TripleSafe™ has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over.

The SaniDry Sedona

The Sedona easily fits in small crawl spaces, yet has a powerful blower to effectively dry large crawl spaces. Mold and mildew are common in crawl spaces, but the Sedona keeps the relative humidity below 55%, so mold won't stand a chance. As a high-efficiency dehumidifier, the Sedona removes more moisture (100 pints per day) for less electricity cost than conventional models.

IceGuard and LawnScape System

Water escapes from the IceGuard® fitting only when the discharge line becomes clogged. Otherwise, water flows past the slotted openings into the drain pipe. LawnScape™ is a pipe buried from the downspout to a special LawnScape™ outlet that lets the water out onto the surface while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning. LawnScape™ is best used for downspout extensions over 8' long.
