During the inspection, the design specialist found that the crawl space door was not properly sealed, allowing humid outside air to enter the space. Efflorescence on the foundation walls also indicated that moisture was moving through the concrete blocks and evaporating into the crawl space, contributing to elevated humidity levels beneath the home. To address these issues, the Frontier team encapsulated the crawl space with drainage matting and CleanSpace liner. This system helps prevent moisture from the ground and foundation walls from increasing humidity within the crawl space. To further control moisture levels, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to maintain healthier humidity levels long-term. The team also replaced the existing crawl space entrance with an EverLast door to help seal the space from outside air and moisture intrusion.
