During the inspection, the design specialist measured a relative humidity level of 84%, well above the recommended 60% threshold where mold growth and pests become more likely. Standing water around the perimeter of the crawl space was contributing to the excessive humidity. To address the moisture intrusion, the Frontier crew installed a drainage system to collect and direct water to a TripleSafe sump pump with battery backup protection. After the water management system was installed, the crawl space was encapsulated with drainage matting and CleanSpace liner to help isolate the home from ground moisture. To help maintain a dry crawl space environment long term, the team installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to control humidity and reduce the risk of future humidity-related issues.

Drainage Line

Water from the sump pump is directed outside the home and exits the LawnScape Outlet. The IceGuard at the beginning of the line allows water to escape in the event of a blockage.

The TripleSafe sump pump system can remove more than 3,000 gallons of water per hour from the crawl space. Its built-in battery backup helps ensure the system continues operating during a power outage, providing protection when heavy storms and rising water levels are most likely to occur.
