Existing Crawl Space Door
The existing crawl space door did not create a true seal, allowing humid air and water to enter the space.
Falling Insulation
Falling insulation indicates high humidity in the crawl space. The insulation absorbs moisture in the air, becomes heavy, and falls out of place.
Evidence of Water Intrusion
A buildup of mud on the edge of the vapor barrier indicates there was moisture intrusion. A visible line of moisture is also visible on the foundation wall.
SmartJack Installation
SmartJacks are installed where the floor lacks support, lifting it and restoring stability.
Drainage System Installation
The crew installed a drainage system to collect water at the point of intrusion.
Drainage Matting
Drainage Matting is installed as the first step in encapsulation. It allows lateral movement of water towards the drainage system.
Full Encapsulation
CleanSpace liner seals the ground, piers, and walls of the crawl space, preventing moisture and humidity from entering.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
Water from the drainage system enters the TripleSafe sump pump for removal. The UltraSump Battery Backup ensures the pump continues to work in a power outage.
External Drainage System
The sump pump discharges water through the IceGuard and LawnScape Outlet. The line is placed downhill from the home to prevent moisture from putting more pressure on the foundation wall.
EverLast Door
Frontier replaced the old crawl space door with the EverLast door to prevent humidity and water from entering the space.
