Moisture Evidence
The foundation water shows that water was standing in the crawl space at one time, leaving a line of moisture on the wall. Efflorescence above that line shows where water seeped through the blocks and evaporated into the space.
Mold Growth
Persistent moisture has created an environment where mold can thrive. The process of encapsulating and dehumidifying the space dries out the mold and makes it dormant.
Drainage System
To prevent standing water, the Frontier crew installed a drainage system around the perimeter of the crawl space.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
The drainage system feeds into a TripleSafe sump pump, which removes the water from the crawl space.
IceGuard and LawnScape Outlet
The water removed by the sump pump exits through a LawnScape Outlet directed downhill from the home. The IceGuard ensures water can still escape the line if the pipe were to become blocked or freeze.
Drainage Matting
Drainage matting is installed beneath the CleanSpace liner, allowing lateral water movement toward the drainage system.
Full Encapsulation and SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier
CleanSpace liner covers the floors, walls, and piers of the crawl space to ensure moisture cannot enter from the ground or walls. A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier catches any remaining moisture from the air and removes it through the sump pump.
Preventing Leakage from Water Heater
Water heaters are prone to leaks. The CleanSpace liner is attached at a slightly higher point on the water heater, so any leakage can flow under the drainage matting towards the drainage system.
Battery Backup TripleSafe Sump Pump
The TripleSafe sump pump can be installed with a battery backup so the pump continues to work in a power outage.
EverLast Door
The existing crawl space door was replaced with an EverLast Door, which seals off the space and prevents humid air from intruding.
