Crawl Space Settlement
Excess groundwater caused the crawl space supports to sink, leaving sections of the floor without proper support.
Open vents and missing vapor barrier
Moisture was accumulating in the crawl space from multiple sources. Water was entering through the walls, groundwater was evaporating around the vapor barrier, and open vents were allowing humid air to enter.
Mold on Floor Joists
Excess humidity in the crawl space was allowing mold to grow on floor joists and boards.
Ineffective Sump Pump
The existing sump pump was not functioning properly, allowing water to collect and evaporate in the crawl space.
Drainage Matting
Drainage matting is installed beneath the CleanSpace liner to allow water to move freely toward the drainage system, where it is collected and safely removed from the crawl space.
Drainage System
A drainage system was installed around the perimeter of the crawl space to collect intruding water. It is connected to the new sump pump to discharge the water away from the home.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
A new TripleSafe sump pump was installed to replace the ineffective system. It collects water from the drainage system and the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier and pumps it safely away from the home.
SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier
A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to remove excess humidity from the crawl space, helping prevent further mold growth.
CleanSpace Liner
CleanSpace liner was installed on the floors, walls, and piers to help prevent ground moisture from entering the space. Vents were also sealed to block humid outside air.
