Rebecca in Castalian Springs, TN, contacted Frontier for a free crawl space inspection after noticing signs of moisture and possible foundation settlement in her home. During the inspection, the design specialist found a rusted crawl space door, mold growing on the floor joists, and settlement cracks around interior door frames. To address the structural concerns, the Frontier crew installed four 8-foot SmartJacks and one 4-foot SmartJack to lift and stabilize the floor system. The crawl space was then encapsulated with drainage matting and CleanSpace liner to help block moisture from entering the space. A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to control humidity, and a new EverLast crawl space door was added to properly seal the crawl space entrance.

Humidity and exposure to outside weather have rusted the crawl space door, weakening the metal and creating gaps where outside air can enter the crawl space.
