Crawl Space During Inspection
During the inspection moisture issues and debris are present. We will remove all this debris before we start the project.
Moisture Issues
Water lines can be seen in the photo on the concrete block wall where water is seeping out of the wall.
Checking Humidity Levels in the Crawl Space
The humidity levels in this crawl space are high. If not addressed this will lead to mold growth and wood rot.
Trench Dug
A trench is dug around the perimeter of the crawl space to place the StarPipe drainage system.
StarPipe Crawl Space Drainage System
StarPipe™ is a custom-engineered drainage system for crawl spaces. StarPipe's™ custom design has slots on each side, providing a drainage track on the bottom. StarPipe's™ unique star shape holds the fabric sleeve in place to prevent dirt from entering drainage slots.
How StarPipe Works
StarPipe™ is designed to be an easily installed conduit to accept water from the soil and surface of perimeter walls of your crawl space and drain to a sump system, allowing the water to quickly evacuate from the crawl space.
Sump Pump Container
The sump pump container is placed and the StarPipe is connected.
Sump Pump and StarPipe
Once the StarPipe is installed it is run into the sump pump to drain any water collected.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
The TripleSafe sump pump is fully installed and connected to drainage lines.
IceGuard and LawnScape System
Water escapes from the IceGuard® fitting only when the discharge line becomes clogged. Otherwise, water flows past the slotted openings into the drain pipe. LawnScape™ is a pipe buried from the downspout to a special LawnScape™ outlet that lets the water out onto the surface while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning. LawnScape™ is best used for downspout extensions over 8' long.
