Terry A. in Paducah, Kentucky, reached out to Frontier for help after noticing his kitchen and den were sinking. During our inspection, we found that the crawl space beams were unsupported, the sump pump was outdated, and there was standing water. The wood in the floor beams had a moisture content of 26.5%, which can lead to serious structural issues if left untreated.
To stabilize the home, our crew installed two HSS Cut-Off Supplemental Beams and five SmartJacks. We also shimmed the existing columns to meet code requirements and added a joint assist bracket for extra support. To help control moisture, we replaced the old sump pump with a TripleSafe Liner that includes an Air-Tight Lid Kit and WaterWatch Alarm to detect plumbing leaks. We finished by installing an M63 1/3 HP Upgraded Pump and extending the discharge line to keep water moving away from the home.
