Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement Waterproofing in Puryear, TN

This customer in Puryear, TN, called Frontier for their basement waterproofing needs. To waterproof their basement, we installed three separate drainage products. We used DryTrak in some areas, a WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system in others, and a Trench drain around the doors. We also installed a TripleSafe sump pump to pump water through the drainage lines. We completed the project by installing IceGuard to prevent floods from clogged or frozen discharge lines, as well as a LawnScape system. Now their basement is dry and clean.

Trench Dug

A trench is dug along the perimeter of the basement to get ready to install the drainage system. As you can see in the photo, the sump pump is placed at the lowest point of the basement, and all the trenches that are dug lead to this point.

Weep Holes

Weep holes are drilled above the trench to let water seep out from the block wall into the drainage system once it is in place.

TripleSafe Sump Pump

Our most reliable sump pump system, the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System, provides three levels of protection for your basement and your peace of mind. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe™ has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over.

CleanSpace Liner

CleanSpace is placed over the drainage system for an added layer of waterproofing protection.

Trench Drain

The Trench drain is installed around high-traffic areas like doorways to catch any water that might flow in.

Cement Added

After the drainage products are put in place, a thin layer of cement is added on top to secure the system in place.

TripleSafe Sump Pump Secured

After the TripleSafe sump pump is in place and assembled, the drainage system is installed, everything is cemented into place. This project is almost complete.

Cleaning up

After the cement dries, we sweep up any leftover pieces, making sure we leave the basement clean.

IceGuard and LawnScape System

Water escapes from the IceGuard® fitting only when the discharge line becomes clogged. Otherwise, water flows past the slotted openings into the drain pipe. LawnScape™ is a pipe buried from the downspout to a special LawnScape™ outlet that lets the water out onto the surface while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning. LawnScape™ is best used for downspout extensions over 8' long.
