Basement Waterproofing in Hartsville, TN

Challenge

A homeowner in Hartsville, TN, was experiencing frequent water intrusion in their basement, which caused dampness, potential mold growth, and unusable space. The water was entering through the wall-floor joint and seeping under the slab during heavy rains. After repeated frustrations with temporary fixes, the homeowner turned to Frontier for a permanent waterproofing solution.

Solution

Frontier installed its WaterGuard XL sub-floor drainage system along the basement perimeter. This system is designed to capture water at its entry point and channel it to a sump pump before it reaches the floor surface. It was paired with the TripleSafe single sump pump system to discharge the water from the basement. This basement had one wall that shared with a crawlspace that was encapsulated. Frontier also installed its StarPipe crawlspace drainage system along that wall inside the crawlspace to direct the water away from the wall. Unfortunately, after the first rain it was found some water intrusion was found coming from the stair landing. Once the landing was removed, we were able to see that the landing was built directly on top of the footer where the WaterGuard XL was not installed. Frontier returned and installed StarPipe to connect the crawlspace drainage system to the WaterGuard XL system, resolving the water intrusion issue.

This combination created a comprehensive and reliable waterproofing solution. After installation, the basement remained completely dry, even during storms. The homeowner was relieved to finally have a dry, healthy basement and peace of mind knowing their investment was protected year-round by a system built with experience and proven performance.
