This Kentucky family had owned their home for 17 years before they realized they had a bigger problem on their hands than some slight molding. The slight molding became a larger problem as the moisture soaked into their insulation, which in turn would lead to their wood rotting. The family already had problems with unwanted insects and other rodents, but their moist wood made their home a termite heaven. That does not even begin to cover the foundation issues that arise from moisture in the air.
Our solution to their problem was cleaning up all debris, sealing any holes that critters could crawl through and fully encapsulating their basement, as well as tearing out their old insulation!
We also installed the SaniDry Sedona, a revolutionary de-humidification systems designed to lower humidity while removing dust, odors and mold spores from the air.
Smart Jacks are steel support systes used to stabiize and level the girders and floor joist in a crawl space. The sysytem has been laboratory tested to support loads of more then 60,000 lbs, making it the ideal system to stabilize your sagging floors, any walls sittieng on top of that floor, and additional loads from the home.
This home owner was starting to feel like the walls of his garage were caving in on him and drowning in the water seeping in from the the rain. He finally had, had enough and decided to call us out. We had to give him the bad news that he wasn't imagining it all, But it was all fixable! After talking with him we came up with a plan, Power Braces will stop the walls from caving in, and water guard and a Triple Safe Sum Pump will keep the water out! He now has New Hope for his garage.
This basement in Kentucky was going through bad water damage problems from hydrostatic pressure outside of the walls. The pressure caused cracks and leaking throughout the basement and just made the walls highly unattractive and unsightly.
They searched for foundation companies in their area and found us! They scheduled a free inspection and in no time our inspector was out there and assessing their basement. He noted the wall cracking in multiple areas, which caused the leaking. He also noted mold growth due to the excessive moisture in the area.
Our inspector mentioned that forces of nature, such as moisture and frost, interacted with the soil around their home and the soil expanded. That expansion and water pressure resulted in constant inward force on the foundation wall until it could no longer support the pressure, causing cracking and bowing. In order to give this problem the permanent fix it needed, installing our PowerBrace System was a must!
Along with the PowerBrace, our inspector also suggested a few of our waterproofing products and the homeowners agreed that these products were best for their basement as well!
Products Installed:
PowerBrace System: The PowerBrace system permanently stabilizes your home's foundation walls. Zinc-plated steel beams are custom-fit to your basement wall height and secured tight against your basement wall with brackets anchored to your basement floor and floor joists. PowerBrace's unique, patented design allows the system to be tightened over time, potentially reversing wall failure without any invasive drilling or digging on the property.
WaterGuard System: Designed to capture water seepage through walls and leaks along the wall/floor joint
SuperSump Plus: This reliable pump can pump up to 2,280 gallons of water per hour!
CleanSpace Wall System: Creates an effective moisture and vapor barrier. The wall covering forces all wall seepage and moisture to flow into your perimeter drain system. The white poly surface eliminates the need to paint basement walls, providing a bright, stain-resistant finish that never needs repainting or maintenance.
The homeowners now have a basement they can use for storage and don't have to worry about mold growth affecting their health!
We love providing the best permanent solutions for our customers every time!
This Kentucky homeowner had noticed mold start to grow in his crawl space and was worried about his and his family's health. He saw one of our ads and decided it was time to get his crawl space encapsulated!
Our trained inspector came to his home and checked out his crawl space. He tested moisture in the air and wood content moisture and found that both were above average. The wood content level was to the point in which most see decay and mold was already growing!
Our inspector talked to the homeowner about our encapsulation process and the many benefits that come with it, such as warmer floors in the winter, lower energy bills, and reduced moisture in the space.
The homeowner was ready to get the project done, so he agreed, and our crew came out and installed the following products:
CleanSpace Liner-
Drainage Matting- raised dimples to help trapped water find their way to the designated drain
SaniDry Sedona- powerful dehumidifier that will make sure humidity levels stay below 55%!
TripleSafe Sump Pump- has three different pumps that automatically change based on your space's needs.
They now have a healthy and clean crawl space, and no longer have to worry about the mold growth affecting their health.
