Not everyone has a clean and encapsulated crawlspace or basement though, and those two things go hand in hand, especially when a homeowners space under their home is dirty and moldy! Not many people know that the air downstairs makes its way up to your living area and becomes the air you breathe.
When a homes crawl space floor is dirt there is no barrier for the moisture in the ground, so it seeps into insulation and wood paneling causing mold.
This Brownsville family wanted healthy air, so they decided to have their crawl space encapsulated.
Our crew installed CleanSpace Drainage Matting and Cleanspace Moisture Barrier Liner, as well as a sump pump, EverLast door, and Mold-X2 Botanical and Stain Remover. Mold-X2 Botanical prevents mold from recurring and the Mold-X2 Stain Remover cleans contaminated services.
This customer in Brownsville, KY had a Sump Pump installed by us a while ago. They opted to not have the battery backup system installed. We always recommend the whole TripleSafe system, but sometimes the customer chooses to go with a lower-cost version. Then they had a flooding situation, and a power outage so the sump pump stopped working. After this issue, they decided to upgrade to a backup battery and alarm system. Now, they won't have to deal with this issue again.

This home in Bell Buckle, TN, was suffering from a severe issue with standing water visible inside the crawl space. They contacted Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair to encapsulate their dark, damp space. After removing the older vapor barrier, our crew wrapped the concrete pillars with a CleanSpace vapor barrier while rolling out drainage matting over the dirt floor. This will help with the flow of water out of the crawl space. Over the drainage matting, a CleanSpace vapor barrier was applied to the floor to make the space clean and energy efficient. To control excess humidity and prevent mold growth, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. A TripleSafe sump pump system was also placed inside the crawl space to remove any standing water that may work its way into the space.
