Daye in Bowling Green, KY, reached out to Frontier for help with her family home, built in 1895. She hoped to replace the flooring in two rooms, but contractors told her the floors had sagged too much to move forward. During our inspection, our design technician found significant wood rot throughout the floor joists in both rooms.
To restore the structure, our crew removed the damaged subfloor and hauled away all debris. From inside the home, they replaced the deteriorated rim joist and sill plate to reestablish proper support.
Next, the team installed CleanSpace® Drainage Matting and a CleanSpace® liner to block ground moisture and protect the new materials from future damage. With the crawl space sealed, our crew rebuilt the subfloor.
Now the rooms are fully supported and ready for new flooring, giving this historic home the strong foundation it deserves.
