Failed Sump Pump
The existing sump pump was not removing water from the crawl space, leading to high humidity levels.
Relative Humidity Reading
Frontier's design specialists do a relative humidity reading in every crawl space. An RH reading over 60% indicates high moisture that can facilitate mold growth.
Falling Insulation
Insulation material absorbs humidity in the air, becomes heavy, and falls. The purpose of the insulation is compromised, and it is hazardous to service the space.
Sealing Vents
Open vents allow humid air to enter the crawl space and create high moisture conditions and condensation. Frontier seals the vents with SilverGlo panels and RimTite insulation to create a conditioned space.
Drainage Matting
Drainage matting is installed underneath CleanSpace liner to allow lateral water movement under the encapsulation. The material is custom-laid for each home.
Full Encapsulation
CleanSpace liner covers the floor, walls, and piers of the crawl space, preventing moisture intrusion from all sides.
Water Heater
The encapsulation is placed over the base of the water heater so any leakage can flow towards the sump pump.
IceGuard
Every drainage line installed by Frontier includes an IceGuard discharge fitting, which allows water to escape the system if the discharge line becomes blocked further down the pipe, such as during freezing temperatures or clogs.
SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier
Humidity is controlled long term in the crawl space with a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
The broken sump pump was replaced with a TripleSafe battery backup sump pump, which will discharge water even in the event of a power outage.
