A nicely finished basement can be a perfect place for a family room, laundry room, office, or gym. It can be a nice livable extension to the house, as far as moisture stays away. The homeowners really take advantage of this extra space under their house and spend a lot of free time downstairs, until the day when they noticed mold and musty smells.
