A family in Atwood, TN had water damage in their basement and this is where their washer and dryer was located, in addition to their storage. Deborah M. and her husband have been living in their 1956 home for a decade and noticed issues since they first moved in. Their crawl space had a bad moisture problem and it was affecting their foundation. In 2012, they had a company install their stabilizers, but it did nothing to help their bouncy floors. Crawl Space Encapsulation was beautifully done in Yuma, TN. The crawlspace had water coming in from the walls and this would normally happen after it rained. With such frequent water in their crawlspace and with such high moisture levels it was beginning to warp their floors and created mold above. The customer even had to go as far as replacing carpet in their home. The customers were very eager to get this problem permanently fixed after already having tried in the past. They were more than happy when there was no longer water in their crawlspace. The crew took extra time and effort to ensure that their lawn was not damaged. A very happy customer!
These homeowners in Herndon Kentucky were having problems with squeaky floors and foundation settlement. Concerned they reached out to Frontier Basement Systems. Frontier sent a design specialist out to their home to diagnose their concerns. Together with the homeowners it was decided that Smart Jacks were the right solution for this home. It’s clear to see in this image that there was something going on underneath the floor. The foundation was beginning to settle, and it was creating a lot of problems within their homeowner’s home. It was decided that a series of smart jacks were the right solution for this home. The results? Homeowners who no longer need to stress about their biggest financial investment, their home.
You can see in the photo the cracks in the wall that look like stairs. This is normally an indication of foundation problems. We have solutions. We were able to go in and install push piers, we dig on the outside of the home to the bottom of the foundation. We install push piers which provide stability and support to the home. This gives the homeowners a peace of mind knowing that their home is stable.
As you can see from the photo there are a lot of cracks that appear to have been attempted to be fixed at home with some caulk and paint. The unfortunate reality is that these problems are deeper. These are foundation issues. There also appears to be some water coming in through this cracks. The best part though, is that we have solutions here at Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair. We are able to go in and install push piers which provide support and stability to a home. We are also able to install CleanSpace or Water Guard which takes water out and away from the home.
Oh no! Look at all that water. These homeowners were really struggling. Good thing we were able to go in and clean everything out. Lay down some drainage matting, properly install CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a 20mil thick vapor barrier designed to keep water and moisture out of a crawl space. In addition to drainage matting and CleanSpace we put a TripleSafe sump pump which took all that water collected out and away from the home. The results? Homeowners that no longer need to worry about massive amounts of water in their crawl space.
Before we arrived to help the homeowners in Huntingdon, Tennessee, their basement was full of water every time it rained. They were getting frustrated and didn't know what to do. Tennessee is knows for its heavy downpours, and the weather was causing discomfort to the homeowners, they didn't want to walk down to the basement to see the damage that was waiting for them over, and over again. They decided to deal with water in their basement once and for all!
After they scheduled a free, no-obligation appointment with us, our system design specialist arrived to inspect their basement a few days later. Together, they decided for our waterproofing system to help them control rain water.
Our production crew arrived early in the morning and worked really hard all day to ensure the waterproofing system was in the ground before the noon! They dug up trenches along side of all perimeters of the walls, and buried the WaterGuard system in it. Covered with gravel, it was time for the sump pump installation.
The sump pump pumps water away from the basement through a system of drain pipes. Water escapes via LawnScape at least 10 feet away from the house. When everything is in it's place, our production guys cover up the system with a fresh layer of concrete for a nice, finished look.
To make sure the waterproofing system is working how it should, they always run a test. This time, the homeowner was curious enough and we let him watch the flood test - and we passed! The sump pump handled the excessive amount of water we poured in the system and successfully pumped it out, so the basement stayed dry!
