Before the Work
When the specialist inspected the crawl space, it had a loose vapor barrier that allowed radon to travel up from the ground into the home.
Debris Removal
In humid climates, insulation becomes moist, creating an environment where mold can thrive on floor joists and boards. During encapsulation, the Frontier team removed the old vapor barrier and insulation.
After Debris Removal
After debris is removed from the crawl space, the Frontier crew can begin working on the encapsulation.
Drainage Matting
Drainage matting is installed underneath the CleanSpace vapor barrier, allowing any water to travel to the sump pump.
Full Encapsulation
This full encapsulation prevents radon from entering the environmental envelope of the home.
Radon System
The radon pipe reaches under the surface of the liner to allow radon to escape.
External Radon Dispersion
Radon from beneath the crawl space is pulled through this pipe and vented safely above the home, where it disperses naturally into the outdoor air.
