PowerBrace

Tuesday, January 12th, 2021 by Brittney Gebers

PowerBraces are a good solution when the home or building has external obstacles and unfinished basement.

PowerBrace is a great option in the following situations:

a. When the soil is very rocky

b. When the home has a pool and lots of landscaping that the customer doesn’t want to disturb

c. When the home has an unfinished basement

d. When the customer wants to straighten the bowing wall

e. When Property lines are an issue.

One of the great things about the PowerBrace is they can be adjusted or tightened overtime.

4 Key Components:

1. Engineered Product
2. Patented Tightening Bracket
3. Joist Reinforcement
4. Zinc Plated

The PowerBrace is an engineered product, a steel I beam that will not bend and can withstand all of the forces against it.

The patented tightening bracket allows for adjustments overtime. Depending on degree of bowing or possible weather conditions such as super saturated soil the beams can be tightened at a later date.

Joist reinforcement transfers the weight from the all to the flooring system, tying in to the floor joist.

Zinc plated helps the steel stand up to the high humidity that we sometimes find in the basement and prevents rust, protecting the structural integrity of the system and keeps it looking good.

  • The PowerBrace is made of 7.7 lb/ft engineered I-beam that is tested to withstand the forces of the bowing wall.

  • Rust can weaken steel beams. PowerBrace is hot dip galvanized to prevent rusting.
