My husband and I had been searching for a solution to a musty smell in our home for just over two years. We had tried every kind of company we could think of to come out and assess our issue. No one could tell us where the bad odor was coming from. My husband had long given up on the issue, but I had not. I had heard that musty smells indicated a mold problem. As a last resort, I found a company in the greater Cincinnati area that utilized mold-sniffing dogs. Upon explaining my problem and the fact that we had gutted 90% of the downstairs and added onto the 2nd floor, I was told that it sounded as though we had a crawl space problem, not a mold problem. I had never heard of this before. They gave me the name of your company, and I immediately called to schedule someone to come out. I am happy to say that our encapsulation was completed a week ago, and when I walk into the house, I no longer smell the musty smell that we have lived with for two years! As it turns out, we had condensation all over the plastic under the house which was torn in many places, and we had mold growing on floor joists in several places. Additionally, we had an extremely high level of humidity in the crawl space. Although we did not have to, we sprayed the floor joists with a bleach/water solution prior to the encapsulation. We had the full encapsulation done and purchased a Sani-Dry dehumidifier. Our house now smells as it should, and we could not be happier. Fernando and his crew did an amazing job, provided us with pictures of the entire install from start to finish, and their professionalism was equaled only by that of the office staff who helped us through the process with estimates and literature. I would recommend your company to anyone in a heartbeat. We could not be more pleased with the entire process.
Fernando and his crew did an excellent job. They were very friendly, professional, and trustworthy. Fernando made some recommendations that our sales person did not initially make on the day of the install. He clearly had the homeowners best interest at heart. On the second day they were at my home, I had to run into town to run an errand, and I did not hesitate to leave Fernando and his crew at my house unattended. This is not typical of me, but they made such a positive impression on me that I felt completely comfortable.
Always very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Answered all questions and made follow-up calls to touch base with us throughout the process.
Our sales person Dayle was very personable, friendly, and we easily established a good rapport. The only reason I am not giving him a "5" is because there were 2 things recommended to us on the day of the install that Dayle did not recommend to us which would have affected the effectiveness of our encapsulation. I mentioned this to the project manager, Jen, and suggested that perhaps the 2 items not recommended to me were items that he could receive a little more training on. I did call Dayle to find out why replacement of our crawl space doors were not recommended, and in the course of our conversation, he ultimately admitted that sometimes things fall through the cracks. I appreciated his honesty, and I suggested that perhaps a checklist could be utilized with each new client so that the essentials are discussed. We ended up paying an additional $1042 on the day of the install that we had not planned for, but it was necessary to have the encapsulation done properly.
I cannot say enough good things about Fernando & his crew - friendly, personable, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and very professional. I was immediately put at ease with them and trusted them alone at my home. The pride in their work was evident as was their personal integrity.
The crew did an excellent job with this. I even offered our dumpster for use for trash, but they insisted on taking the debris off the premises and disposing of it at the office. They swept our entire concrete patio and placed our items that had needed to be moved neatly back where they found them. I have never had workers at my house who took so much care in their work.
