Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair will host its third annual Cancer Drive Poker Run on Saturday, August 1, 2026, raising money for a local family facing cancer in honor of Caleb Short. The event is open to all vehicles and runs regardless of the weather.
Caleb Short served as Frontier's Warehouse Manager for six years before passing away from cancer in April 2024. His coworkers organized the first ride that September. It drew 35 riders and raised over $4,600 for his family. The 2025 ride welcomed more than 70 participants, including over 25 Frontier volunteers, and raised $3,500 for another family in the Frontier community facing cancer.
Caleb's wife, Deanna Short, attended both rides. After the 2025 event, she wrote:
“We had a great time today participating in the annual Frontier Poker Run in memory of Caleb. There are two things I know for sure, and the first is that Caleb loved his job, and he loved it so much because of his amazing work family. The second thing I am certain about is their love for him. I am a witness to this each time I receive a text or phone call with one of them faithfully checking on me and the kids. Being up there today just hugging them and listening to them say how much they miss him is a true testament to what this company is all about.”
Registration for the 2026 ride opens at 10:00 a.m. at 5150 Hwy 41A in Joelton with donuts for donations. Bikes roll at 10:30 a.m., followed by all other vehicles at 10:45 a.m. Riders and drivers have until 3:00 p.m. to complete the route.
The run covers five stops across Middle Tennessee:
Entry is $20 per card hand. Redraws are available at the end for $5 each, with no limit. Motorcycles, Jeeps, cars, and trucks are all welcome.
