This customer in Caneyville, KY, called us due to moisture issues in the crawl space. Our inspection revealed significant moisture problems within the crawl space. The most immediate concern is that the wood structure is saturated to the point where water is dripping from it. This is largely due to the concrete block walls on the rear and right sides of the home; because they lack exterior waterproofing, they are absorbing groundwater and releasing it into the crawl space. This has created high humidity levels in the air and high moisture readings in the wood. Additionally, we found wet soil and mud lines along the rear wall, confirming that water intrusion and standing water are recurring issues.
