Photo Album: Basement Waterproofing in Franklin, TN

This customer in Franklin, TN, called Frontier due to moisture issues in the basement. To waterproof their basement, we installed Trench drains in the exterior entrance, a WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system, and a TripleSafe sump pump to pump water through the drainage lines. We also installed IceGuard to prevent floods from clogged or frozen discharge lines, as well as a LawnScape system.

Inspection Process

During the inspection, water can be seen pooling up on the outside of the basement wall. This alone wouldn't be much of a concern until we inspect the basement and see the water damage inside.

Trench Dug

A trench is dug on the outside perimeter to get ready for the trench drain installation.

Basement Interior Excavation

A trench is dug on the interior of the basement, leading to the lowest point, which is where we place our TripleSafe sump pump container. The container is placed first, then the electrical components are assembled.

Trench Drain

Different problems call for different tools to fix them. In the same way that we wouldn't use a hammer to pound in a screw, we wouldn't use generic piping to waterproof a basement. Trench drains are installed in high-traffic areas like entrances.

CleanSpace liner is placed on top of the WaterGuard system for an added layer of protection.

The CleanSpace has been installed on the foundation walls and over the WaterGuard drainage system.

WaterGuard Install Complete

After the WaterGuard is placed, CleanSpace liner is placed on top, and then the whole system is set in place with a thin layer of cement.

Trench Drain Install Complete

Once the trench is dug and the trench drain is placed, it is cemented into place.

IceGuard® Discharge Line Protection

Many sump pump discharge lines are susceptible to freezing during the cold winter months. Our IceGuard® discharge line protection prevents this from happening, with no need for the homeowner to do anything! This specifically designed grated adapter is located outside where the discharge line exits the house. If the pipe underground freezes in the winter, water can still be pumped out without the worry of backups into your basement!
