Upon inspection, our design technician discovered heavy mold and mildew growth beneath the home. The existing wooden crawl space door allowed water to enter during heavy rain, contributing to a relative humidity of 77% and a moisture content of 18% in the floor joists. To stabilize and protect the home, Frontier installed five HSS 8-foot Supplemental Beams supported by ten SmartJacks to reinforce the floor joist system. The team cleared debris and installed a TripleSafe Liner, Airtight Lid Kit, and WaterWatch Alarm to monitor for potential plumbing leaks. The crawl space floor and walls were encapsulated with CleanSpace 20-mil high-performance moisture barrier and CleanSpace Drainage Matting to prevent future moisture buildup. To manage humidity levels, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier and air filtration system. Finally, to prevent water and air infiltration through the access point, Frontier installed the Turtl Crawl Space Access System, creating a cleaner, more secure, and durable entry to the crawl space.
